Knowledge and Skills for Social Care Workers
These are accessible open learning workbooks which tackle a range of key subjects relevant to people working with adults in residential or domiciliary settings. These are not just a source of guidance, the workbooks are CERTIFICATED and are also designed to meet the requirements of:

All workbooks can be used by social care workers who:
Open learning gives the learner the opportunity to obtain knowledge without leaving the workplace to attend a formal training session. This workbook is designed to enable the learner to work through it at their own pace and at a time that suits the learner to complete it slowly or quickly; it is their choice. The learner has the freedom to study when and where they want, which is ideal if they have commitments and wish to study in the evenings or at the weekends ……..it is up to the individual!
The learners will read passages where they will expand their knowledge and complete exercises and their answers can be used as evidence for NVQ’s.
Towards the end of the work book, the learner will be asked to complete a self assessment questionnaire on what he/she has learnt from completing this work book. Once the learner has completed this, their manager or trainer will complete the certificate and award it to the learner.
